Ever since I was 12 years old, or around the time when I began thinking about fashion beyond what I was going to wear on a daily basis, I have been coveting items. That is just the nature of fashion. I still have a way-too-long-list of things I would love to have in my closet. Here are a few:

  1. Corduroy, everything.

Preferably in dark brown tones to go with the color of the leaves. I embrace fall, to the fullest.

  2. Silver + Gold.

I appreciate the mixing of metals this season. I remember thinking “Vogue told me to never mix silver and gold” so I didn’t. Now it is time to break this stupid rule. These earrings are perfect for that.

  3. Flowy tops.

Because they will never go out of fashion.

  4. Red + Satin.

Preferably red satin. They also go well on their own.

  5. A Cocoon Coat.

Wool, cashmere, corduroy coats. The cocoon shape is great because it gives ample space for many layers of sweaters when winter is at its worst.

Did you know

Corduroy is a ridged form of velvet. The material was first made in England in the 18th century, and the word comes from corde du roi, meaning cord of the King. Fustian fabric, what makes velvet, is a heavy cloth woven from cotton and was used primarily in menswear 🤔

that’s all folks
